Weekly Market Highlights #42: April 10 - April 16

✨The successful Shanghai upgrade and positive US CPI news created the impetus for the two leading cryptocurrencies, BTC and ETH, to reach new highs of 2023, in turn, this past week.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market increased ~$87B (from ~$1,180B to ~$1,267B) of its total capitalization

✨BTC Stalls At $30K
✅Despite its sluggish start, the past week was quite eventful for the primary cryptocurrency. BTC remained at $28K on Monday, similar to the previous weekend, but the landscape changed as the day progressed.

✅The bulls initiated a leg-up that spiked BTC to $29K. Unlike the previous attempts to overcome that level, this one was successful, and Bitcoin skyrocketed beyond $30K for the first time since June 2022. Then came the US CPI announcement, which sent the asset to $30,5K again.

✅Yet, that was short-lived, and BTC retraced by $500 in minutes. Another price surge came on Friday when Bitcoin jumped to just inches above $31K to mark a new ten-month peak.

✅Now, BTC's price is trading around ~$30K. Its market cap remains below $578 billion, while its Dominance over altcoins is 45.7%.

✨Most Altcoins Have Impressive Gains During The Week
✅BSCS is trading at $0,01515. BSCStation is ready to explode with the IDO of two projects: BlueSale Finance and UrDEX Finance.

✅ETH was at the forefront following the successful completion of the Shapella update. ETH traded at $1,9K and soared past $2,1K to mark an 11-month high.
