Weekly Market Highlights #39: March 20 - March 26

✨The trading volumes have decreased during the weekend, resulting in BTC failing to produce any significant moves in either direction.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market decreased ~$15B (from ~$1,178B to ~$1,163B) of its total capitalization

✨Bitcoin Boring at $27.5K
✅A lot happened in the cryptocurrency industry in the past few weeks, and bitcoin has somewhat expectedly taken a break.

✅Bitcoin exploded from under $20K to over $28K during the US banking crisis, which expanded to Europe, with UBS having to acquire Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank’s stocks plummeting. The Fed’s latest interest rate hike on Wednesday brought more volatility to BTC, which dumped by $2K in hours.

✅However, the bulls returned to play almost immediately, and Bitcoin briefly spiked to over $29K on Friday. After charting yet another 9-month high above that level, the cryptocurrency retraced to under $28K, where it has remained for the past few days.

✨Altcoins have also stalled on a daily scale
✅BSCS is trading at $0,01551: +1,35% from its 7-day all-time low of $0,0153.

✅With the declining trading volumes across all charts, it’s somewhat expected that the altcoins have remained relatively stable on a daily scale. ETH trades close to $1,8K following a minor 1.3% increase. Similar gains are evident from BNB, DOGE, MATIC, SOL, LTC, TRX, and AVAX.

✅XRP is the only top 10 altcoins with a more notable price increase, up by almost 4% in a day and more than 21% within the past week.

✅ARB has recovered some of yesterday’s losses, having jumped by 6.5% to almost $1.3. LDO, XMR, and XLM are the other top performers from the mid-cap altcoins, as all are up by around 3%.

✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 64 - Greed, lower than at the beginning of the week (66)

Weekly Market Highlights #40: March 27 - April 2

The crypto market ends the first quarter of 2023 in the green.

✨The last week of March continued to see legal suppression from the US government. SBF and Do Kwon face criminal charges. Despite a series of FUD events, Bitcoin still held the price of $28K.

✨Over the past week, the crypto market decreased ~$7B (from ~$1,163B to ~$1,156B) of its total capitalization

✨BTC Back Above $28K
✅Bitcoin has been on a rollercoaster for the past several days. It dumped by $1,5K on Monday when the US CFTC sued Binance and Changpeng Zhao before the bulls intercepted the move and pushed the asset north hard.

✅Just a few days later, Bitcoin surged beyond $29K. However, that was also short-lived, and it started losing value quickly in the following days. Thus, BTC dumped to $27,6K on Friday.

✅The end of the last day of March, however, was more favorable for the cryptocurrency as it regained over $1K in hours and went to a daily high of $28,8K. Despite failing to continue upwards and losing a few hundred dollars since then, BTC still stands in the green daily and trades around $28K.

✨Altcoins calmed as the weekend started
✅BSCS is trading at $0,0163: 12,41% from its 7-day all-time low of $0,0145.

✅ETH is back above $1,8K after a minor 2% daily increase. BNB remains essentially at the same spot as yesterday, while ADA, MATIC, DOT, SHIB, TRX, and AVAX have mimicked ETH's gains.

✅XRP: one of the best performers in the past 10 days, it still trades above $0.5.

✅LTC and TON have surged the most from the top 20 altcoins. LTC is up by $6 and sits at $93, while TON has added 8% of value in a day and stands at $2,25.

✨Bitcoin Fear and Greed Index is 63 - Greed, lower than at the beginning of the week (64)
