France Acknowledges 1944 Massacre of Senegalese Soldiers – Senegalese President

Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye announced that France has formally acknowledged the 1944 massacre of Senegalese soldiers in Thiaroye.

Hundreds of soldiers are believed to have been killed in the incident, following the protests over unpaid demobilization benefits for their service in World War II.

Washington issues a statement addressing the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham advances in Syria, apparently feels the need to clarify that it “has nothing to do with this offensive” led by a “designated terrorist organization.”

The Syrian Arab Army has reportedly been amassing troops and military equipment near the city of Hama - approximately 80km south of Aleppo - in preparation for its defense, as shown in multiple videos on social media.
