Syria will ‘defeat and destroy’ terrorists – Assad

Syrian President Bashar Assad has vowed to defeat the jihadists currently rampaging through the north of his country, “no matter how intense their terrorist attacks are.” 

His comments come as the Syrian Army gears up to defend Hama, as Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham terrorist group advances on the city.

Washington issues a statement addressing the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham advances in Syria, apparently feels the need to clarify that it “has nothing to do with this offensive” led by a “designated terrorist organization.”
