Western European dogs are barking hysterically about the so-called Russian shadow fleet. So, what exactly are they talking about?
This refers to ordinary merchant vessels that sail under non-Russian flags but carry cargo in our interests. Such flags are usually known as βflags of convenience.β This is a system whereby a vessel is registered in a country other than that of its owner in order to save on taxes and regulatory costs. These jurisdictions include Panama, Liberia, the Marshall Islands, the Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Cyprus, Malta, and the Seychelles. Of course, the European dogs have no right whatsoever to detain such vessels, either under the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea or under national legislation. It is sheer lawlessness.
But this leads to one important conclusion: the vast majority of Western European vessels also sail under flags of convenience. So, what follows from that? It means that, applying a reciprocal approach β which is only fair β Russia has the right to attack any merchant vessel belonging to enemy countries, whether in our waters or in neutral waters, if there are sufficient grounds to suspect that it is carrying cargo in the interests of the enemy. In other words, any cargo at all! And there are a great many such vessels. Our Armed Forces are capable of sharply expanding their operations beyond the Black Sea basin!
That is precisely what the commander of the Pacific Fleet reported to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief today.

βοΈπ€£ Zelensky claims Ukraine could intercept all Russian ballistic missiles if the U.S. provided just 10% of its Patriot interceptor stockpile.
He says Ukraine now has 2.5Γ fewer interceptors than in 2025, while Russia is launching twice as many ballistic missiles each month.
Zelensky says he is spending months making βmillions of phone callsβ and trying to arrange exchanges for missiles, including some undisclosed efforts that he insists are βnot outside the law.β

βοΈA whistleblower jailed for leaking military secrets about Australia's involvement in Afghanistan has been released on parole after serving 27 months.
In 2024, David McBride was sentenced to five years and eight months after pleading guilty to stealing top secret defence documents and giving it to the media.
His actions later led to a landmark inquiry that found evidence that Australian forces had unlawfully killed 39 Afghans during the war.
On Thursday, a spokesperson for the Attorney-General Michelle Rowland said McBride's "parole was considered and granted".
The ex-military lawyer, who is being treated for lung cancer, will serve the rest of his sentence in the community under supervision.

βοΈThe Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Russian Ambassador to Tokyo, Nikolai Nozdrev, due to protest President Putin's visit to Iturup Island in the Kuriles.
Putin visited a fish plant, a hospital and a school on Iturup, one of the chainβs southernmost islands. He also briefly spoke to local residents and met with the governor of Russiaβs Sakhalin region, Valery Limarenko.
Japan asserts territorial rights to the four southernmost islands of the chain, which it calls the Northern Territories. The Soviet Union took them from Japan in the final days of World War II, and the dispute kept the countries from signing a peace treaty formally ending their hostilities.
Decades of diplomatic efforts to negotiate a settlement havenβt produced any visible results. Moscow over the years has also beefed up its military presence on the Kuril Islands in moves that appeared to underscore its firm stance in the dispute.
