❗The Russian Armed Forces have reached the administrative borders of Sudzha in the Kursk region and have begun an offensive.
There are battles in the city - there are about 2,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers inside, many of them seriously wounded. The main details that are being reported:
— Russian soldiers entered Sudzha (along the administrative borders) from the direction of Kurilovka, which had been previously liberated by marines from the 810th brigade.
— The offensive began this morning. According to drone operator Moisei, the city battles involve the Aida group, the 30th motorized rifle regiment, the 11th airborne brigade, and the Veterans volunteer formation. Other units form a "cauldron."
— According to the military, there are about 2,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers surrounded in Sudzha. To put it in perspective: only four to five thousand people used to live in the city. According to The Times, there are up to 10,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in the Sudzhansky District.
— According to Ukrainian monitoring agencies, there are about 6.3 thousand enemy fighters in the encirclement. They have no way out. There are two options: either break through with a fight, risking death, or surrender.
— Some groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have begun negotiations on surrendering and taking away the wounded in exchange for life and new types of weapons supplied by the US and France. As Ukrainian TG channels write, they are ready to give up new types of UAVs, a satellite encryption system, electronic warfare, and some armored vehicles.
— Russian forces have also begun to clear Malaya Loknya, where soldiers from the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have taken up positions, and Basovka. The forces are also advancing from Lebedevka. The fighters are advancing towards Kazachya Loknya.

Albanese said the government will send a senior representative to France for the meeting between Europe's top five military powers on Tuesday, to discuss "going forward".
"You can't have peacekeeping forces without having peace. So moving forward, though, it is important that planning be put in place and Australia will participate in that meeting."
Asked whether he discussed sending Australian troops with his UK counterpart, Albanese said it was too early.
"I certainly have said very clearly, publicly, repeatedly, that we would give consideration to participating in any peacekeeping mission in the Ukraine," he said.
