βοΈ'It's like catching cornered rats' - a Ukrainian recruiter told The Telegraph about his job.
'Sometimes it's like dealing with a cornered rat. When you put them in a car, they continue to resist. Those who resist always threaten to take revenge on our guys or their families' says Artem, who asked not to be named.
'We have a specific goal of how many people we need to recruit, we no longer choose who to stop, everyone goes. I didn't do it with those who looked weak before, but now I do. I've learned to control my emotions while working, and now it's just work for me. I always have arguments: 'Either them or me.'

βPatriarch Kirill on the fact that βChristians are not afraid of the end of the worldβ:
I would like to note that the fear-mongering around possible apocalyptic scenarios, excessive alarmism and speculation on the nuclear issue are not useful from a spiritual point of view.
The enemy of the human race is trying to sow confusion and anxiety in the hearts of people in order to paralyze their will and deprive them of courage.
Christians are not afraid of the so-called end of the world. We are waiting for the Lord Jesus, who will come in great glory, destroy evil and judge all nations, but such hope does not mean that we should sit back and silently watch what is happening, allowing evil to triumph.

βRussia will respond to acts of aggression against it, the choice of weapons will depend on the targets, President Putin said.
The Russian army is confidently advancing on almost the entire front in the special operation zone and will gradually occupy new positions.
The Russian Federation is thinking about allocating drones into a separate branch of the military.
Putin called Belousov "a modern defense minister" who understands the topic of drones, among other things.
Many highly educated Russians are involved in the special operation zone, and they are literally "performing miracles," Putin said.

"Last year, the bill for supporting Kiev was 125 billion, next year it will be more. We must not hide the costs of war. And I think we are not saying this enough: the conflict is not free for us, we need to be honest," he said.

π¦πΊπ―π΅ On the Increase of Japanese Presence in the Asia-Pacific
The authorities of Australia, the United States, and Japan continue to develop a trilateral defense partnership. Last week, it became known that from 2025, Japanese servicemembers will regularly conduct training together with their American and Australian counterparts at the Darwin base.
The official goal is to strengthen military relations between the countries. However, given that Darwin is one of Australia's closest military facilities to the South China Sea, such cooperation can be seen as preparation for a potential military conflict with China.
π»It is worth mentioning that this base hosts about two thousand U.S. Marines on a rotational basis. Their representative already stated this summer about their readiness to support the Philippine military in their operations to deliver cargo to an outpost in the disputed waters.
Similarly, the Japanese continue to increase their presence in the region. Just recently, the authorities in Tokyo and Manila signed an agreement on free access, allowing Japanese military personnel to be present on Philippine territory for exercises. This year, the first naval drills with the participation of Japanese and Philippine servicemembers were also held.
By the way, the trend towards the development of such defense cooperation with the countries of the region is one of the indicators that the Japanese authorities want to bring the country to the second place in terms of military influence in the region. This is beneficial for the Americans, given the elevation of the Chinese threat to a sacred status at the official level, so Japan is trying not to lag behind this trend.
