Yuma County AZ ballot harvesters Guillerma Fuentes and Alma Juarez, were scheduled to be sentenced July 7th, but the hearing has been postponed until Sept 1st.

Prosecutors are seeking a 1 year prison sentence for Fuentes. If the judge gives them probation, they are asking that Fuentes be barred from holding public office.

There are numerous reforms that should be made to the current process of America's elections to ensure that they are safe, secure, and convenient. The three reforms I propose in this column are by no means exhaustive; however, they will go a very long way in providing every voter—Republican, Democrat, and Independent alike—with confidence in both the process and outcome of our elections.

"It had lots of fascinating little nooks and crannies hidden around in it that no one has ever let me talk about. There are at least a half-dozen places, maybe a few less, where you could lay in a Trojan horse in that source code—lay in routines to do whatever you wanted to in an election—because there's code in that system that shouldn't be there, is not being used, is worthless to the operation of the system. It can be replaced with anything you want it to be."
