A quick update on drop boxes. I have pushed to get rid of them all together, however we find ourselves with a one seat majority and an obstinate Paul Boyer. I am not satisfied with failure and having to use 2020 rules for the 2022 election. Therefore, I also have a plan B. I have created an invention and asked for a pilot program regarding a “smart” drop box.

This smart drop box does not tally your vote, it only logs in that your envelope has been received. Much like an ATM machine, there will be chain of custody and an inability to stuff a dropbox like people can now. It will have a camera like an ATM machine and it will limit one ballot per deposit.

We trust our cash and checks to an ATM machine. The machine with a camera, chain of custody, and the ability to deposit the cash into our own account and not someone else’s. If we can’t get rid of the boxes, then I demand a secure box to do so until we have enough Republicans to get rid of them all together. We cannot go back to 2020 rules.

I also will say that I am pressing for HB 2289 to be put on the board for a vote. Let’s see who is serious about this and who is not.

Interim Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced her leadership team Wednesday as she holds the office until later this year when a special election takes place to determine who will serve the remainder of Allister Adel’s term.

Mitchell, who is one of the candidates vying for the office and was picked by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors for the interim role last month, said the various changes of leadership became effective Monday.

Lake is also the only candidate for governor talking about Dinesh D’Souza’s “2000 Mules” documentary, which exposed how Democrats stole the 2020 election with illegal ballot trafficking.

Internal polling shows Kari Lake with nearly a 25-point lead over her closest competitor, woke Karrin Taylor Robson. Former Congressman Matt Salmon has fallen to just seven percent in this new poll.

Holding the CDC More Accountable

The COVID-19 pandemic has proven the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is a deeply flawed agency. CDC bureaucrats have published confusing guidance, acted outside their legal authority, undermined efforts to reopen schools, and shockingly allowed political organizations to edit official guidance. Recent reporting regarding alleged data mining and tracking of Americans’ cell phone locations only adds to these concerns.

I led an effort this week, along with Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and House Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-Ky.), asking Oversight and Reform Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) and Select Subcommittee Chairman James Clyburn (D-S.C.) to hold an oversight hearing to examine the CDC’s many failures during the pandemic.

In addition to this hearing, I joined Congressman Jody Hice’s (R-Ga.) efforts to investigate the CDC’s reported tracking of location data from millions of Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If this report is true, the CDC committed gross violations of the 4th Amendment and must be held accountable.

Voter Signatures Put At Risk With Design Of Maricopa County Election Form

"The millions of Maricopa County voters signed up on the Active Early Voting List (AEVL) to receive ballots by mail for the August primary election were recently mailed a 90-day pre-primary packet intended to ensure the Recorder’s Office has current addresses before sending out the ballots.

The 90-day AEVL packet also provides instructions for voters who are not registered as Democrat, Libertarian, or Republican on how to request a ballot for the Democratic or Republican primary (Libertarians have a closed primary).

The problem with the design is that it instructs voters to “fold or tear here” before returning the card. However, if a voter tears off the card it will end up in the U.S. Postal system with the voter’s signature in full display."
