House Passes Bill Ensuring Citizens Only Registered To Vote In Arizona Elections

“Non-citizens should never be allowed to vote in American elections, yet shockingly nearly 12,000 people voted in the 2020 general election for federal office without any proof of U.S. citizenship,” Rep. Hoffman told the Arizona Daily Independent. “For years we’ve heard Democrats spin wild conspiracy theories about foreign influence on our elections, but today when they had the chance to prevent it, every single Democrat voted against preventing non-citizens from influencing our elections.”

“Republicans at the Capitol are fighting like hell to protect the integrity of Arizona’s elections with bills like HB2492, so that voters can have confidence that every legally cast ballot matters,” said Hoffman.

I joined James T. Harris on 550 KFYI to talk about my bill, HB2492, that PASSED out of the Arizona House of Representatives yesterday and would ensure non-citizens are never voting in Arizona elections!

In 2018, there were 1,700 people who voted in the Arizona general election for federal office that did NOT have proof of citizenship.

In 2020, the number of people who voted without proof of citizenship skyrocketed to nearly 12,000!

HB2492 would fix this once and for all.

...YET EVERY DEMOCRAT VOTED AGAINST THE BILL!

Let me be very clear, non-citizens should never be allowed to vote in U.S. elections. Period.

Just so you guys know, Borelli & Townsend were YES votes to censure Wendy Rogers. It went 24-3. The only ones who voted no were Wendy herself, Peterson, and Barto.

Correction! Townsend was a NON VOTE. Meaning she didn’t vote at all. My mistake.

Arizona voters have overwhelmingly spoken on the need for positive ID for all voting activities. This referral to the ballot gives the voters a voice in promoting solutions that will help restore election integrity and confidence in the system overall. It is important to note that the Democrats who voted against this measure, voted against giving the people a voice in the process.

But will we have any substantial election reforms put in place in time for early voting this year?🤔🤔🤔
