It takes 16, 31, and 1 votes to get our top bills passed to become law in Arizona.
That responsibility to drive these bills falls on us the people.
Our government was designed by the Founders to be by, of, and for the people. We have a super important role to play and more of us need to do it!

The Senate is voting RIGHT NOW on the school expenditure limit bill which will allow school funding to exceed 50% of the total budget for 4 months until the courts rule on prop 208.
This vote comes after the Arizona School Board Association left the National School Board Association. However, the Legislature hasn't prioritized school choice, curriculum transparency, or other protections for parents by getting these key bills to the Governor's desk before this vote today.

Time to go scorched earth on the Republican Party - both nationally & statewide.
This crop of "representatives" who vote for this trash do not deserve to govern any longer.

Senate Committee Passes Bill to Create Lt. Governor | Arizona Daily Independent
On Friday, the Arizona Senate Government Committee passed Sen. JD Mesnard’s bill, SB1255, which will establish the office of Lieutenant Governor. Currently Arizona is one of only seven states that do not have the office.
Under Mesnard’s bill, a candidate for Lieutenant Governor would run with a candidate for Governor, as it is done in 26 other states. The 17 other states elect their Lieutenant Governor separately from their Governor.
Currently in Arizona, the Secretary of State would replace the Governor should he or she vacate the office early. This has happened several times in Arizona history and can result in a situation where the voters elect a Republican or Democratic Governor, only to have them replaced by a Secretary of State from the opposite party.
SB125 requires voter approval. Should the bill be signed by the Governor, it will be on the ballot during the next general election, and if it passes, will place both offices on the ballot starting in 2026.

These people will never get it. Money won’t fix the public school system, focusing on actual education (instead of indoctrination) will. However, ASBA & his union are using the system to make more Democrats and destroy our Republic. Get your kids out now before it’s too late.

Legislature Approves K-12 Aggregate Expenditure Limit Increase
"...this year, when schools are flush with money from all sources, including covid bucks and other federal subsidies, they are claiming that they must have a limit increase or else will have to have serious cuts.
It is against this background that house bill HCR2039 was introduced.
Unfortunately, the members of the legislature did not give citizens the courtesy of the customary committee hearings or an opportunity to express their views. They did this by suspending the rules and railroading the HCR2039 in both chambers.
Since this bill passed both chambers with the required 2/3 majority, it may go into effect immediately. There appears to be no provision in the AZ constitution about requiring the governor to sign the bill or for the customary 90 day waiting period.
