In the next 30 days we will have opportunity to give input on the preliminary maps the redistricting Commissioners have drawn. I highly recommend you get involved. Someone told me last night that the independent is actually center-left and could potentially do a lot of damage. We all need to be prepared to testify and send letters and emails. I am grateful to Senate President President Karen Fann for appointing me as the chair of the Government Committee, which will handle the election integrity bills, along with other issues. It is my intention to work collaboratively with all members to get solid election reform passed. I am looking for legislation that ensures that Arizonans can have confidence in the voting system. I look forward to passing common sense bills through the committee that benefit this state and we'll be getting to work right away with stakeholders meetings and touring the County Recorder's offices to continue to learn about current election procedures.

With it being already November 1st, it is crunch time and we cannot lose another day when it comes to election reform. I pledge open communication with the public and with my colleagues to get this done.

Karen Fann Announces Her Retirement From the AZ Senate After 28 Years

Senate President Karen Fann announced that she won't seek re-election after her current term expires in January 2023. In a brief statement, Fann called her two terms as Senate president "the honor of a lifetime" and indicated she hopes to go out on a high note with a successful 2022 session.

Rigged: The DNC Has Controlled ALL Poll-Watching for Nearly Half a Century | Federalist

In her new book, “Rigged: How the Media, Big Tech, and the Democrats Seized Our Elections,” Mollie Hemingway revealed that the DNC has had an exclusive monopoly on poll watching operations for the last four decades:

“For nearly 40 years, the Democratic National Committee had a massive systemic advantage over its Republican counterpart: the Republican National Committee had been prohibited by law from helping out with poll watcher efforts or nearly any litigation related to how voting is being conducted.”

How did this happen? A judge banned the RNC from poll-watching and voting litigation everywhere in the country after Democrats accused Republicans of cheating in a New Jersey race in 1981. The judge then continuously extended the order until 2018, when it finally expired three years after he died.

The Federalist explains, “This handicapped Republicans for almost 40 years while Democrats were free to do things Republicans couldn’t, like give boosts to their voters all along the voting process and track them extensively, challenge ballots, document irregularities, and sue over election disputes.” By 2020, Mollie writes:

“Democrats had spent the last forty years perfecting their Election Day operations while everyone at the Republican National Committee walked on eggshells, knowing that if they so much as looked in the direction of a polling site, there could be another crackdown. As a result, there was no muscle memory about how to watch polls or communicate with a presidential campaign.”

The 2020 contest was the first presidential election since Reagan’s successful run in 1980 in which the Republican National Committee could play any role whatsoever in Election Day operations — yet only 38% of poll watching positions were filled. That’s changing in the upcoming Virginia election, where John Fredericks says that 90% of GOP poll watching shifts are filled.

Virginia Victory: The Power of Turnout Paired with Poll Watchers and a Plan

The Virginia victory offers a model for overpowering election fraud. Despite dirty voter rolls and a 45-day! election that began on 9/17, Republicans triumphed in a red wave. Unlike 2020:

1) The GOP actually made an effort to install fraud counter-measures including, an army of lawyers on the ground, dropbox surveillance, ballot and voter scrutiny, thousands of poll watchers, and a See-Something-Say-Something hotline:

2) For the first time in 40 years, GOP poll watcher slots were filled. A Dem judge had barred Republicans from Election Day poll watching participation for nearly half a century. A fraud-fighting system combined with massive turnout is a recipe for Dem defeat. Eric Newhuis explains how turnout helps combat the fraud:

“There is evidence of vote flipping/deleting in the Edison feeds similar to the 2020 general. I think they ran out of reservoir phantom votes due to exceptionally high turnout in all counties. This is exactly what saved Florida in 2020. The strategy works. Vote. Vote like your life depends on it. It is far more important to vote when we know they are still stealing/flipping votes.”
