Ted Cruz Derails Democrats’ Late-Night Push To Pass Federal Election ‘Takeover’ | Daily Wire

While we were sleeping, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blocked an attempt by Senate Democrats to permanently subvert our elections. In a furtive pre-dawn Wednesday vote, the dirty Dems 🐀 attempted to push through their election federalization fraud enshrinement bill.

The Daily Wire reports: Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) brought the For The People Act, a bill critics say amounts to a federal takeover of elections, to the floor around 3:30 a.m. after the Senate had concluded 15 hours of amendment votes on a $3.5 trillion budget resolution. In the dead of night, Schumer sought to pass the federal overhaul of elections by unanimous consent, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Only one objection by a senator was required to stop the process. In a roughly 15-minute back-and-forth, Cruz tanked Schumer’s attempt to force the election bill through the Senate.

Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America

It is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan, along with the tremendous surge in COVID, the Border catastrophe, the destruction of energy independence, and our crippled economy. It shouldn’t be a big deal, because he wasn’t elected legitimately in the first place!

Arizona Update: Audit Draft Report Coming Monday Canvassers Needed Voter ID Act & More | Uncover DC

Uncover DC reports:

A final report for the Maricopa County, Arizona audit is on its way. Senate President Karen Fann confirmed on Aug. 16 a draft report should be sent to the senate team for review on Monday. The final report will be made public once the draft is fully vetted.

The audit report is not the only election-related thing brewing in Arizona. There has also been a call for canvassers in the county, although it is unclear whether the canvassing is linked to the official audit team. The Arizona Conservatives Take Action sent out a message on their telegram channel requesting volunteers using Liz Harris’ web-based form for volunteers “to assist with election integrity research.” Harris went door to door with a team of volunteer canvassers in the fall to verify voter addresses in Arizona.

Republican lawmakers also held an Aug. 17 press conference calling for, among other things, new identification requirements for early voters, called the Arizonan’s for Voter ID Act. The lawmakers contend that a growing number of Arizonans support the use of IDs in early voting and at the polls. Ballot harvesting is also addressed in the Act.

“The main provision of the proposed ballot measure would require voters who cast early ballots to confirm their identities with one of several forms of identification. They would be required to include their date of birth along with their driver’s license number, state identification card number, voter identification number or the last four digits of their Social Security number on the affidavit they include with their early ballots.”

Coalition Launches Arizona Voter ID Ballot Initiative | Arizona Daily Independent

On Monday, a political committee, Arizonans for Voter ID, filed the “Arizonans for Voter ID Act” ballot initiative with the Secretary of State’s Office. Organizers say the initiative will make it easier to vote, but harder to cheat.

The purpose of the measure is to bring integrity and security to our election process by requiring that no matter how you vote or where you vote, you will be required to provide valid ID when casting your ballot.Arizonans for Voter ID,

The Voter ID Act is supported by a growing list of organizations including the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, Heritage Action, Honest Elections Project Action, Foundation for Government Accountability, the Goldwater Institute, the Republican Liberty Caucus of Arizona, AMAC Action, and Arizona Women of Action.

The initiative is expected to improve existing voter ID requirements for in-person voters, deter ballot harvesting by requiring ID from individuals returning a voter’s ballot, and require voter ID on mail in ballots. Voters would be required to write their date of birth and either the last four digits of their Social Security Number, Arizona driver’s license number, or nonoperating state identification number in addition to their signature.

Good News in Michigan: Coalition of America First Patriots Create "DePerno-Pulitzer V.O.T.E. Act" to Audit the 2020
Election in MI and Make Full Forensic Audits State Law

Matt DePerno, Jovan Pulitzer, and a consortium of America First Patriots have introduced the V.O.T.E. Act, a
Citizen Petition Initiative (CPI) to audit the 2020 General Election and make full forensic audits state law in Michigan. A final version of the CPI is expected to be released next week. The citizen’s initiative format is designed to circumvent Governor Whitmer’s veto.

The V.O.T.E Act differs from Rep. Steve Carra's original legislative bill in that it would forensically audit 100% of all 83 counties in the State of Michigan. The audit is expected to follow Arizona’s gold standard and include forensic analysis of physical ballots, a hand recount, chain of custody investigation, and machine and cyber evaluation. The CPI also reportedly includes penalties for counties and elected officials that fail to follow the law.

The coalition will need approval from the MI State Board of Canvassers to proceed: they hope to begin signature collection on October 1, 2021. The team will then have 180 days to obtain 350K signatures and submit those to the State Board of Canvassers for authentication. Their goal is to exceed 500K signatures in order to fortify the initiative against invalid participants and other mistakes.

Michigan Conservatives Take Action would like to thank MI-06 congressional candidate Jon Rocha for speaking with us about this effort.

Nearly 15 Million Mail-in-Ballots Unaccounted for in 2020 Election

In the November 2020 general election, almost 15 million mail-in ballots went unaccounted for, according to a good-government group, Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF), that focuses on electoral integrity.

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) inspector general most recently reported that only 13 percent of mail ballots in the 2018 general election used the official tracking system — the untracked ballots are categorized as “unknown.”

In the 2020 election, there were 14.7 million “unknown” ballots, along with 1.1 million undeliverable ballots, and 560,814 rejected ballots.

PILF put these figures in perspective by noting that President Joe Biden carried Arizona by 10,457 votes, yet Maricopa County, the state’s largest county, reportedly sent ballots to 110,092 outdated or wrong addresses.

The report notes that many counties across the country had large numbers of “unknown” ballots.

Fir example, Clark County, Nevada, had 724,708 such ballots. Essex County, New Jersey, had 248,290 unknown ballots, and Maricopa County had 229,123 ballots in the unknown category.

Maricopa County Files $2.8M Claim with AZ Senate for Machines They “Had to Replace” Post Audit

The Senate agreed to indemnify the County before the audit team received the equipment in April.

Senate President Karen Fann responded: “This is yet another publicity stunt by Maricopa County. This shows they prefer to shower taxpayer dollars on Dominion and lawyers, rather than having an honest conversation about the audit. Machines were not damaged or tampered with and they know it.”

Last month, Fann pointed out: "If their machines can't undergo a forensic audit to verify what happened in an election, then [they] never should have approved those machines to be used in an election in the first place."

Maricopa County Responds to AZ Attorney General’s Office – Requests “No Further Action” Be Taken But Fails to Address ARS 41-1154 in Their Response

In early August, Senator Sonny Borrelli filed a formal 1487 request asking AG Brnovich’s office to investigate Maricopa County for criminal non-compliance with Senate subpoenas. Brnovich gave the County until August 20th to respond.

Maricopa County responded yesterday and asked the AG to take no further action. The Supervisors argue that the AZ Senate has no subpoena enforcement power out of session and failed to pass a contempt resolution to enforce the subpoenas when they were in session, therefore the issue is moot:

“…The allegations in the Request are without merit. The Senate’s authority to enforce the Subpoena through its statutory contempt powers expired on June 30, 2021 with the adjournment of the legislative session. Accordingly, any action taken by MCBOS in relation to the Subpoena did not “violate[] state law or the Constitution of Arizona,” and we respectfully ask that your Office “take no further action” regarding the Request. A.R.S. § 41-194.01(A), (B)(3).1”

The response goes on to cite relevant AZ law regarding enforcement of legislative subpoenas but notably ignores ARS 41-1154, which states that disobedience of a subpoena from the General Assembly is a class 2 misdemeanor.

The County concludes, “For the reasons outlined above, the Senate’s authority to enforce the Subpoena expired on June 30, 2021, there has been no resolution holding MCBOS in contempt, and therefore, no violation of “state law or the Constitution of Arizona.” We respectfully ask that your Office “take no further action” regarding the Request. A.R.S. § 41-194.01(B)(3).

If you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to give me a call. There should be a mechanism to resolve this issue without expensive litigation and the use of court resources.”
