It is obvious Athanasius, when he was alive in the 300sAD, had Greek manuscripts of Scriptures that contained 1 John 5:7, in order to for him to quote 1 John 5:7's words of "and these three are one."
Athanasius was alive 200-300 years after 1 John was completed, so he & Christians had access to Scriptures that did contain 1 John 5:7, since he quoted 1 John 5:7 in "Disputatio contra Arium". Athanasius is an early Greek witness for 1 John 5:7.
Modern versions (NIV, ESV, NASB, ASV, etc) erroneously remove 1 John 5:7; King James Bible rightly/correctly keeps 1 John 5:7: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. βœ…

New 1 John 5:7 Evidence: In fall of 1883, Drs. M. McIntosh & T. H. Twyman & Rev. William Mahan travelled & found a complete Old Latin Bible from 327AD-370sAD in Constantinople

KJB has 1 John 5:7 in it.
McIntosh & Twyman read & examined Old Latin Bible; it matched with KJB. So Old Latin Bible has 1 John 5:7 in it

"our present Bible comes from these manuscripts..King James's Bible was..printed in 1611,..coming from Hebrew, Greek,..Latin manuscripts..Emperor, Constantine,..had fifty copies of the Scriptures..placed in the public library for preservation..While in Constantinople I found one of these volumes nicely cased, marked with the Emperor's name and date upon it..It was written on hieotike, which is the finest of parchment, in large, bold, Latin characters, quite easy to read. In 250 AD, Cyprian quoted 1 John 5:7 in Latin: "et iterum de Patre et Filio et Spiritu sancto scriptum est: et tres unum sunt" (Opera Omnia I, De Catholicae ecclesiae unitate, Page 215) DOCUMENT SOURCE.

English translation: and likewise it is written of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 'And these three are one.' Cyprian wrote et iterum de ["It is written"] because the Scriptures he had in Greek had 1 John 5:7 in them.
