2 Samuel 23:5 is such a wonderful testimony of the grace of God and the underserved favor of His promises and salvation, that of course modern perversions twist it to mean the opposite; a picture of salvation by grace and not of works changed to make grace no more grace. To make the blessings, promises and covenant David received, including his salvation, into something he worked to deserve.

Only the KJB renders this verse properly, in the context of David's life and without any contradiction of the gospel of grace.

KOTK version removes most of 1 John 5:7 & part of 1 John 5:8

3) denies these three [the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are one, & thus preventing KOTK reader from knowing the Father is God, the Word (John 1:1-3, 14, 17 KJB) is God, & the Holy Ghost is God, due to the KOTK writers deleting 1 John 5:7 and labeling verse 8 as verse 7 in KOTK

By removing 1 John 5:8's words "and there are three that bear witness in the earth", KOTK denying the witnesses of "the Spirit, and the water, and the blood" bear witness in the earth. KOTK promotes Modalism heresy at 1 John 5:8's ending by combining the 3 earthly witnesses into one being & saying "the three are through the one" instead of KJB's "and these three agree in one"

Discard KOTK; get KJB

The KJB, not the KOTK, is right:
