Android 13 finally adds support for controlling the brightness of the flashlight
Android 13 introduces the getTorchStrengthLevel and turnOnTorchWithStrengthLevel methods to the CameraManager class. However, this feature has one caveat. Not all Android 13 devices will support flashlight brightness control. Most likely it will be available on manufacturers who update their BSPs on their own (like Pixel), and on devices with Android 13 out of the box, we'll see...

Hello everyone, I am writing this message to tell you that today is the beginning of a new chapter for Android Hub.
If you haven't already noticed, the channel name has changed: in fact #TeamFiles has been added. In this regard, I am proud to announce that a new collaboration has just begun, this time with the #TeamFiles Federation. For this reason there will be some changes, starting from the official group @AndroidHubChat: from now on, in this group only the English language will be accepted and violators will be punished with mute or warn. Whenever the Italian-speaking members of the group want to speak their language, they can do it in the new @AndroidHubIT group.
There will also be more strict rules that will protect a peaceful and respectful atmosphere in both groups, so don't forget to use the /rules command in chat!
The news are over, but now I need your opinion about the channel notes which, as you may know, should contain all the links to the posts in the channel. They have not been updated for several time for various reasons, hence my question is this: do you want them back? Answer in the poll below.
I hope you'll enjoy,
Android Hub Staff

Sadly, I had to remove the DerpLauncher Port due some problems that #TeamFiles Fed had with rom devs, sorry but it was the only thing that I could do.
But new ports are coming, stay tuned...

Project Soli maybe will be used on smart displays/tablets in the future
On the Pixel 4, Project Soli was used to speed up face unlock and gesture control. The latter is also used on the Nest Hub, while sleep tracking is the other big feature. The Nest Thermostat, meanwhile, leverages the radar technology to wake the screen on approach.
The company has demonstrated a number of possible use cases, such as how information on smart displays of different sizes changes depending on your presence or where your head is turned.
